Biography


Allison Cecere M.S., R.D., CDN, is the founder and principal of Nutrition Therapy and Educational Services based in Westchester County, New York. 

 

Ms. Cecere first became interested in human nutrition and metabolism as a biology student at Villanova University. She considers many of her outstanding professors to be early mentors who helped to define her professional interest. After graduating from Villanova she returned to New York to continue her education and professional training in nutrition.
 
Ms. Cecere earned her Master of Science (MS) in Human Nutrition and Food Studies from New York University and completed her clinical training at New York Methodist Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. As a Registered Dietitian (RD), she is nationally registered by The Commission on Dietetic Registration and is an active member of The American Dietetic Association, the Oncology Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group, Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine Practice Group, and the Westchester-Rockland Dietetic Association. With more than 15 years of professional experience she has served as clinical staff member at top-ranked university medical centers and as Nutrition Coordinator at two regional cancer centers - The Arlin Cancer Institute at Westchester Medical Center and The Cancer Treatment and Wellness  Center at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt Kisco, New York. In addition, Ms. Cecere is a board certified dietitian-nutritionist (CDN) in New York State.
 
As a frequent speaker on nutrition and chronic disease prevention, Ms. Cecere has had the honor of presenting at the esteemed International Research Conference on Food, Nutrition and Cancer held by The American Institute for Cancer Research, The International Food Show and numerous community-based educational events.
 
During her free time Ms. Cecere enjoys her family, friends, visiting local farms in and around Westchester County, creating easy healthful meals, design, and staying physically active through dance, tennis, aerobic exercise and keeping up with her three energetic children!
